Christmas came a little early for my Clients this year. After almost a year of waiting and anticipation, their new home is complete and ready for them to move in!
I first met with my clients during the Summer of 2016, when they were in the planning stages of their new home build. Since then, I have worked with them and their builder, Havenhill Homes, to create the home of their dreams.
My clients wanted a home that was warm, inviting and reflective of their family of 5. My client’s love clean modern lines, but wanted to make sure their home didn’t feel cold or stark. Together, we designed a home that is a perfect reflection of their style and conducive to how they live. My clients also asked me to furnish and style their completed home, and the result is one that both they and I are thrilled about.
Today, I am so excited to be sharing the first reveal from the Dutch Lane Project with you, the Family Room. Take a look.
Black doors and windows provide a beautiful contrast to the bright white walls.
A grand piece of art was chosen to grace the painted brick and shiplap mantel, and create a visual statement in the room.
Gorgeous lighting from Hudson Valley Lighting’s Mitzi Collection, beautiful art from Christie Adelle and stunning Alta Vista Malibu floors from Hallmark Floors, take this walkway from simply utilitarian, to a true feature in the home.
The design of the black wrought iron railing helps give this home the modern edge that my clients desired.
A beautiful camel colored leather sofa marries both form and function for this young family of 5.
The built in cabinetry was designed to be both beautiful and functional. It creates visual interest in the space while housing the TV and providing plenty of storage.
Layered rugs help provide color and texture in the family room.
I hope you enjoyed the first reveal from the #dutchlaneproject.
