I am excited to be sharing the Great Room (Kitchen, Dining & Family Rooms) from our latest residential interior remodel project, the #stonecreekremodel. My clients contacted me to help them update their family home, which they built when they were newlyweds. At that time, their limited budget restricted them from finishing their home to their ideal standard. Now, over a decade later, they were ready to turn their family home into a place that truly reflects their style.
My clients’ love their neighbors and neighborhood, so they have known for sometime, they would remodel, rather than move. The thing I love is that they waited to pull the trigger on the remodel until they were able to do it right. This family of 5 committed to moving into their finished basement, while we overhauled their main floor. They endured months of construction, but I think they would say they would do it all over again, to have the home they have dreamed of.
Take a look at what my clients’ home looked like the first time I saw it.
Once again, I called on my General Contractor and his company, Premiere Remodeling, to help make my design vision for this home, a reality. As always, they came through with flying colors.
Here is what it looks like now:
New flooring, trim work and paint lay the perfect foundation for the new space.
A new custom built in, with fireplace, replaced the dark, dated entertainment center.
Additional trim work adds character to the home.
Gorgeous new lighting and furniture sets the stage and creates the perfect spaces for this family to both relax and entertain.
The kitchen was redesigned to be more efficient, as well as beautiful. We squared up the corner pantry and created a “hidden pantry” with a custom cabinet front door.
A stunning Carrara marble mosaic tile was used on the kitchen backsplash and fireplace surround to add texture and dimension.
The beautiful blue island helps keep this white kitchen from feeling stark and cold.
Chrome island pendants and a chrome wall sconce add sparkle and elegance to the space.
The island has enough seating for the entire family to gather for casual meals.
More formal meals can take place around the new circular dining table, which perfectly invites conversation.
We took this dull, dated home and brought life and light to it. This home in now a true representation of the young, vibrant family who lives here.
